Merry Christmas!

Well, it is a beautiful Christmas day in So Cal. I am so glad to be out here, and not in the snow back in Chicago. Corey and I have had a 4 day Christmas this year. We started Christmas on the 22nd opening our own presents at home before we left for California. On the 23rd, Corey opened up all of his presents from my side of the family because he had to go back to work on Christmas morning. Then, on the 24th we went over to his house and his whole family came over and we opened up presents. And finally, I opened up the rest of my presents this morning. It has been a very nice Christmas. Every year my family makes cinnamon rolls for Christmas morning. My dad has always helped make them with me, but this year I wanted to do it by myself. They didn't turn out quite how I was hoping. They taste the same, and are good, but they didn't rise enough so they are kind of flat. O well, I guess taste is what matters the most right? Corey was able to have a fresh out of the oven cinnamon roll for the first time. I normally take them home with me in a tupperware for him.  I wish Corey was still here but I took him to the airport early this morning. I am just glad that he was able to come out at all, even if it was for a short time. I have one more day in Cali, then I fly back to Chicago where it will be crunch time for packing up for the move. Yikes! I try not to think about it. lol. Anyway, pictures from Christmas are to come. Hopefully sooner rather than later. Merry Christmas!

My first blog!

Well, I have been thinking about getting a blog, and have finally decided to do it. I thought it would be a good time since Corey and I are moving to Texas soon. We move in 16 days! Crazy! We are excited but sad to leave Illinois at the same time. We have made a lot of friends out here. But we know that Texas will be great and we are excited to start our new life out there. So, now that I have this blog, you can follow us on our journey of becoming first time home-owners. Should be quite interesting....lol.
